Genetic Analysis (GA) launched in August a CE-marked IVD test to detect SARS-CoV-2 in the gut. SARS-CoV-2 has been detected in fecal samples of COVID-19 patients up to 40 days after infection. Even if respiratory samples are negative, the virus can still be found in fecal samples of at least 50% of COVID-19 patients. GA has developed a simple collection kit for sample collection. GA both provides a laboratory testing service and produce reagent kit for routine laboratories and FMT clinics all over the world.
